IMPHAL, June 19: Troops of the 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) has claimed to have apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals from a Maruti van from Tengnoupal area of Chandel district.

A release of the IGAR(S) said the two foreigners were traveling in a Maruti van bearing registration No. MN-01W- 1687 without valid documents.

The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals has been identified as Md Hussain, 20, s/o S Jolal of Mokshidebara, Cox Bazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh and Md Ismail, 22 s/o late Moulana Pir Mohammad, a resident of Partuli, Cox Bazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Both the foreign nationals have been handed over to Tengnoupal police station, the release added.
