The Trinamool leader further stated that the people of Konthoujam have stood against the Congress-led SPF government and its tyrant rule will soon come to an end.

The president of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress, Kim Gangte stated that the people of Konthoujam have become the beacon light of new constructive changes in the society. She said that the party stands for women empowerment and it will promote income generating self-help groups and cottage industries for the womenfolk of the state.
The Trinamool Congress is for the suppressed and downtrodden people of the society and it will work for the development of hill and rural areas of the state which have been reeling under the apathy of the present state government, Kim averred.
The newly elected MLA of Konthoujam assembly constituency, K. Sharat stated that during his short tenure of about 10 months he will try to deliver at least 70 to 80 percent of PDS items to the people who have been deprived of such benefits by the past representatives of the constituency.
