IMPHAL, Feb 25: A month long innovative training on pattern making in applique cum dance and custom crafts (up-gradation) was today launched by councilor ward no. 16 IMC M.Subhash Luwang at Singjamei Chingtham Leikai Aribam Mandap organised by the M/S Parbati Weavers and Articians Co-op Soceity Ltd. Uripok under the sponsorship of DC handicraft ministry of Textile Government of India, and the state government.
The launching of this month-long training programme was attended by councilor ward no. 16 IMC M.Subhash Luwang, L. Anita Devi managing director cum treasurer Parbati Weavers and Articians Co-op Soceity Ltd, Th. Rajen Singh investigator M & SEC Imphal, W. Birenjit Singh superintendent handicrafts, Commerce and Industry dept attended as chief guest, president and guests of honour.
During the launching function, chief guest lamented the need of more awareness campaign regarding the trainings of crafts and other works with the help of the media, to help unemployed persons in earning their livelihoods.
