The Trinamool leader further stated that the people of Konthoujam have stood against the Congress-led SPF government and its tyrant rule will soon come to an end.

He said that the Trinamool Congress will set up candidates in all 60 constituencies of the state in the coming general election and bring new changes and development in the state right from the grass-root level.

The president of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress, Kim Gangte stated that the people of Konthoujam have become the beacon light of new constructive changes in the society. She said that the party stands for women empowerment and it will promote income generating self-help groups and cottage industries for the womenfolk of the state.
The Trinamool Congress is for the suppressed and downtrodden people of the society and it will work for the development of hill and rural areas of the state which have been reeling under the apathy of the present state government, Kim averred.
The newly elected MLA of Konthoujam assembly constituency, K. Sharat stated that during his short tenure of about 10 months he will try to deliver at least 70 to 80 percent of PDS items to the people who have been deprived of such benefits by the past representatives of the constituency.

IMPHAL, Feb 19: The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Manipur State Unit, has demanded the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi to resign immediately for failing to redress the grievances of the school teachers who are currently on hunger strike demanding the implementation of 6th revised pay in toto.
Addressing a press conference today at the office of BJP Manipur, the state president of BJP, Sh. Everything is in turmoil now owing to the failure of the state government and so it is the right time for the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi to step down  from his chair, Shantikumar enjoined.
He demands the state government to implement the 6th revised pay as soon as possible and ensure proper education to the government school students who have been agitated due to the ongoing impasse between the state government and COTA.
