NEROCA, Sangakpham lifted the 55th CC Meet defeating the winner of 53th CC Meet Assam Rifles in the final match played at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium today.
During the normal time, both the team held 1-1 draw however in tie break NEROCA which lost to AR in tie break in 2008 defeated Ar 4-2.
The sports minister DD Thaisee, AH Choudhury, President AMSA retd. IAS, tourism commissioner KK Chhetri and MACS director graced the final match as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
N. Nabachandra of NISA, Th. Tababi got the footballer of the year trophy.
NEROCA for the first time entered the final in the history of CC Meet in the year 2000. In that final match, NEROCA beat SSB and lifted the prestigious trophy. NEROCA lost to 1-2 to Eastern Sporting Union, Wangkhei in 2002.
In 2008, it became the runner up. In that final match, AR beat NEROCA in tie break.
