IMPHAL, Jan 20: Heingang police booked Oinam Jayanta, an MSCP worker and chairman of Poumai Colony Development Board, this evening from his residence for putting pressure on people of the locality to vote for the party’s Wangkhei candidate in violation of the election code of conduct. Jayanta was charged with distributing pamphlets threatening to block their names from selection as beneficiaries for various schemes and annulling their membership if they did not vote for the MSCP candidate.
