IMPHAL, Feb 11: The United Revolutionary Front has announced that circulation of its correspondence letters on seeking assistance from individuals and establishments will come into effect immediately.In a press release, the information and publicity secretary, AK Pibarel, stated that all official correspondence will bear the stamp of the front along with the signatures of secretary finance, Lemba Meitei and secretary home, Ruhini Meitei.All parties who wish to contribute generously have been asked to carry out advance verifications through the phone numbers provided in the letter heads and ensure that the contributions are sent through the proper channels. Currently, the area of operation of the URF is confined to the administrative boundary of Manipur, the release said, but at appropriate moment, the front will decide on expansion of its area of coverage by promoting better ties with neighboring territories. It appealed to the public to support and assist in the revolution taken charge by the URF. The UPF has further announced the creation of a new unit for Bishnupur (Lamhandong) district under official recognition of Unit VI. Comrade Khagemba Meitei will be its unit commander.
