IMPHAL, Feb 12: 30 Assam Rifles organized a medical camp conducted by doctors from its unit and RIMS at Sekta in Imphal East district today. Around 500 persons from Sekta, Huidrom and Pundongbam villages received treatment and free medicines at the camp. The doctors also performed an awareness lecture on hygiene and sanitation and sexually transmitted diseases. In another occasion, 37 Assam Rifles organized a leprosy awareness programmed at Tuikong village in remote area of Chandel district along the Myanmar border yesterday. The event was conducted by a team of medical officers and para-medic staff of the unit.
