Imphal, Feb 21: 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) conducted National integration Tour from Sita Village of Tengnoupal Sub Division to New Delhi from 09 Feb to 21Feb 2012.
The participants included 12 boys and 08 Girl students and 03 teachers of Sita Govt High School, Kharou Khunou Govt Junior High school and Saivom Primary School.
The tour was flagged off by DC, Chandel on 09th Feb 2012 and was flagged in by Maj General UK Gurung, YSM, IGAR (S) on 21 Feb 2012.
The NIT conducted by 5/9 Gorkha Rifles (PHILLORA) under aegis of Red
Shield Division from 07 Feb ended today in a function at the Auditorium of INA Museum at Moirang. The groups comprising twenty students and four teachers alongwith Army personal toured Delhi, Agra
and Jaipur for a fortnight seeing all famous monuments.
The students were congratulated and urged to work harder to make Manipur a more prosperous and harmonious state. Mementos were given away to each participant followed by a sumptuous tea party.
Jwalamukhi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division organised a National Integration Tour for local school children of Motbung, Hengbung and Lairouching with the aim to provide an opportunity to local children to get an exposer to rich culture, ethos, history and life style in the nation’s heart land and foster a feeling of friendship amongst the participating children.
From 13 Feb 2012 to 19 Feb 2012 these children have visited number of places in Delhi.
