Imphal, Mar 16: A one day discussion on Save democracy, reject evm organized by All India trade union congress Manipur was held today at Manipur Press Club Major Khul. Dr. M. Nara, L. Jatra, Th. Chaoba ex-MP, Dr, Nimaichand Luwang president MPP, V. Hangkhalian ex. MLA, Somi Keishing NPF, Sarat spoke at the discussion. Most of the speakers expressed that the used of evm in the election violets the voting rights of the voters.
The electronic voting machine can be manipulated. The govt. can use malpractice through the evm. Most of the voters can not see whether his or her votes is rally casted to his candidates.
The evm violetes the fundamental rights of Citizen. It should be replaced by the ballot papers.
