IMPHAL, April 17: District handloom & Textiles, Imphal West, Govt. of Manipur is organizing an awareness program on ‘financial assistance for the handloom weavers under State and District handloom Schemes’ on April 18 at 12:30 pm at Konthoujam community hall.
In a separate statement, DIPR has informed to the interested Primary Weavers Co-operative Society Ltd., APEX Handloom Co-operative Society and State H/L Corporation to submit their application for financial assistance under the Marketing Incentives Component of the integrated Handloom Development Scheme for the year 2011-12 & 2012-13 to the office of District H/L & Textile Manipur on or before April 4. The quantum of assistance to be provided is 10 percent of the average Sale turnover of the last three years to be shared at 50:50 between the centre and the State. Detailed information can be had from the office of the Project Manager (Handloom), District H/L & Textiles Manipur.
