Imphal, Apr 27: An Awareness programme on Library sponsored by the State Central Library organized by the Development Programme for Rural Community (DPRC) was held at Hamai English High School, Tamei in Tamenglong District on last Sunday.
The function attended by about 400 persons was graced by Awangbou Newmai Ex-MLA and Tampakleima Devi Chief Librarian, State Central Library, Govt. of Manipur as the Chief Guest and President respectively.
Other functions were also organized by the same organizers under the sponsorship of Manipur State Labour Department. One such function was held at Katang Beukam Village located at Nagaland-Manipur border area. The function attended by about 300 persons discussed about the “Eradication of Child Labour and Bonded Labour” to make awareness about the labour problem in the area and its solutions.
The same awareness programme on the problem of Llbour and solution thereof was also held at Tamei on last Sunday which was attended by about 400 persons.
The function at Tamei was graced by Awangbou Newmai Ex-MLA as the Chief Guest.
