Imphal, June 7: 10 Assam Rifles under the Red Shield Division, continuing its Sadbhavana efforts, conducted free medical camp at vill Haochong on 07 Jun 2012 and provided a free medical checkup and medicines to locals including adults, newborns and school going children of the villages Haochong, Ijerong and Chingchen. A total of 653 pers attended the medical camp of which 349 women, 107 children and 197 men were benefited. Most of them were found suffering from gastritis, worm infection, anaemia, skin infections, respiratory tract infections & gynecological problems.
The huge crowd of locals at the medical camp was itself giving a proof of a long awaited wish. The ARMO of the unit and his medical staff relentlessly provided medical care to the people during camp.
On 07 Jun 2012, 33 Assam Rifles of Red Shield Division organized a free medical camp for the villagers of Moirang Khunou at Keibul Lamjao. The medical camp started from 09.00 AM in the morning and was carried out till 01.00 PM in the evening. During the camp more than 285 persons (Male107, Female 138 and Children 40) were examined and treated. Medical prescriptions and free medicines were distributed for diarrhoea, dysentry, respiratory tract infections, Malaria, viral fever, skin diseases, arthritis and Myalgias etc. The team comprised of two doctors and three nursing assistants who attended to the people. The medical camp was also aimed at bringing awareness regarding prevention of HIV/AIDS.
