27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) organised a Painting competition on the theme “Green Manipur” at Chairel Primary School today. Many students participated in the competition with full zeal and enthusiasm. The competition included prize distribution to the winners and a number of motivational prizes to few others. Officers of 27 Assam Rifles, in their message conveyed their best wishes to the children and termed such an event as the best means of character building and encourages team spirit and exhorted them to focus their energy into creative and positive activities to integrate themselves with the main stream of the country for a better and bright future of Manipur and wished them “Good Luck & Success”.
In another occasion and 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) organised a excursion tour for school students of Thoubal Dist on 15 Jun 2012. 78 students and 11 teachers visited ‘Loktak Lake’. The evident happiness on the faces of the students after the conduct of the tour spoke how exuberating this excursion was for them. This excursion was organised to inculcate a feeling of being a part of the main stream and to show the children that they belong to a state which is striving to be a developed and prosperous place.
