MNS: An overcrowded Auto Rickshaw collided with Tractor on NH 102 near Sora , Thoubal District today. Medical team of 27 Assam Rifles rushed to the accident site and brought twelve injured passengers to the Unit Hospital. Medical team attended the injured passengers and subsequently, three seriously injured patients were evacuated to RIMS, Imphal after necessary Life Saving First Aid for further management.
In another occasion, 35 Assam Rifles in collaboration with Diocesan Social Service Society, Imphal conducted a Medical camp at Chakap village in Sajik Tampak on 28 Jun 12. More than 200 patients from Chakap and adjoining villages were diagnosed and provided medicines. Similarly 24 AR organized leprosy awareness programme at Tengnoupal village on 29 Jun 12 and more than 100 villagers attended.
