Medical team consisting medical officers and paramedical staff of 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp at Tengnoupal on 26Sep 2012. More than 100 patients from and Tengnoupal and nearby areas were benefited from the camp.

Sumneithang, D.I. ZEO was the Chief Guest while Guest of Honour was St. Minthang, Headmaster Sagang High School. The functional President was Binoy Singh, Headmaster Tuiringphaisen H/School.
Moderators were Thangthalien and L. Asong. Competitions were held in poetry, Quiz, Solo and talent show .
Students of Dampi JB/School, Khonomphai JB/Sc, RPC School, Tuiringphaisen Govt. H/Sc, New Dampi Eng. School participated in the competitions. First Prize went to New Dampi School, second prize went to Khonomphai JB/Sc and Tuiringphaisen Govt School got the third prize.

He was detained under NSA and on Sep 25 around 1:00 PM he was nabbed by Police from RIMS road . He had no arms when he was arrested. He was handed over to 18 Bt.(Sikh Regiment) to be killed in a fake encounter.

TAMENGLONG, Sept 27 NNN: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has nabbed three cadres of United Naga People’s Council (UNPC) in two separate incidents and released them on humanitarian ground.
ZUF information and publicity cell secretary A.Dangmei informed NNN that in the first case, UNPC cadres Athanpou Rongmei (26) s/o Pousinmai and Dilonpou Gonmei (27), s/o late Akhiu Gonmei, both from Khongsang village of Nungba subdivision, Tamenglong district were coming with a demand letter Rs 20,000 to the chairman of Makhuam Part V at around 8:30 pm on September 23. And again on September 26, another UNPC cadre identified as one Singkhiubuiyang Gonmei, (37), s/o Adun Gonmei of Khongsang village was also nabbed. All of them were interrogated and explained to them about the ‘unwanted’ organisations in Zeliangrong areas, said A Dangmei. They were also warned not to kidnap people, not to intimidate anyone or extort in future. They were then released on humanitarian ground in the presence of the Khongsang Village chairman, Longmai Bazar Board members, NGOs and student leaders, stated Dangmei.

IMPHAL, Sept 27 MNS NNN: Joining hands in celebrating ” World Tourism Day” , the Manipur Tourism Forum in hand with Classic Hotel have jointly organised a cleanliness drive at Sendra tourist centre and its surrounding areas here today.
The drive which was held under the theme, ” Clean Today For A Better Tomorrow ” was performed by around 40 volunteers.
Explaining on the Samaritan act, H. Radhakrishna Sharma stated that the cleanliness drive was held under the aegis of India Tourism, Government of India in relation with ” Clean India Campaign ” nation wide programme to mark the World Tourism Day.
General Manager of Classic Hotel, Sachid Anand Singh said, ” The drive was held following instruction from India Tourism, Government of India. It is fortunate that the authorities have chosen the hotel to take a lead role in such kind of noble work. We have chosen Sendra tourist centre for the drive because it is an important tourist spot of the state “.
