Dhaka/Shillong, Oct 1: On Sept 30, the Shillong Manipuri Students’ Union, observed the 116th Lamyanba Hijam Irabot Remembrance Day at Manipur House (Rasbari), Laitumkhrah, Shillong. The observation started at 1 pm and continued till 4 pm.
As part of the observation, students and executive members of SMSU also paid floral tribute to a picture of the leader.
The 116th birth anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot was organized Integrated Manipuri Association, (IMA) BANGLADESH on Sep 30 at Irabot complex, Vanubil .
Ima bangladesh President Md. Abdul Mojid Choudhury, Chief Guest AK. Seram President Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad, S. Rina Devi, President Bangladesh Manipuri Mahila Samity, Thongam Dhiren , Advisor IMA Bangladesh , Thongam Chandrakity ,President Manipuri Sanskrity Parishad , Khoirom Indrajit , President Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad, Kamalgonj Branch and others took part in the observation.
Poems written by Irabot, Atumbagi leibak, Ningthibi Ema Manipur were read out.
