Dimapur, Nov 22 NNN : The NSCN-IM has taken strong exception to the propaganda emanating from the Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC). The NSCN-IM alleged that the KSDC has resorted to public blockade in the Kuki dominated areas and intimidating the neighboring Naga villages to support the demand for Kuki state or face dire consequences.
The NSCN-IM then said it considered the use of provocative languages by the blockade supporters as uncalled for and this must be stopped forthwith.
“To justify their demand for a separate Kuki state the Kuki National Organization(KNO) has produced a forged Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) signed between KNO and NSCN in the year 2010. Going further, there is an open display of bogus sketched map extracted from the Memorandum submitted by the Kuki National Assembly (KNA) to the Prime Minister of India in the course of their demand for Kuki state. This is simply unscrupulous without an iota of truth and just to fool the general populace masterminded from the higher level agencies in connivance with the government of Manipur,” the NSCN-IM said today.
The Naga outfit then said that whatever is the mechanism of propaganda adopted by the Kuki bodies to justify the demand for Kuki state nothing can be far from truth based on the historical and political rights (fact) of the Nagas.
“The physical and political boundary of the Nagas is inalienable and God forbids using His name for spreading false propaganda as resorted by the KNO. So what is being vainly attempted by the Kukis is misleading and obnoxious from the historical point of view. And Nagas will not tolerate any means used by the Kukis to distort the historical foundation of the Nagas. And all said and done, the intrusion of Kuki organizations like KNO and KNA into Naga territories through their bogus sketched map and forged MoU will not stand the test of time,” the NSCN-IM asserted.
Nagas in Chandel district of Manipur under the banner of Chandel Naga People Organisation (CNPO) has discussed the prevailing situation and said ancestral land of the Nagas be preserved at any cost.
“Every bit of land in the hills is under the jurisdiction of and within the ancestral boundary with well defined demarcation and there is no khasland. Since time immemorial Nagas have been living in their respective land and governed themselves with a set of traditional administrative system protecting their right to land, natural resources, custom, culture etc. There was no contest over our historical land ownership by any other communities. However, the Naga peoples living in Chandel district are shocked to learn that whole Nagas’ ancestral territory is in the proposed map of the Kuki State Demand Committee (KSDC),” the CNPO stated today.
Chandel Naga People Organisation (CNPO) had a meeting with all the frontal organisations of Chandel district on November 22 and discussed the proposed map of the KSDC. They decided that at any cost the Naga people must preserve and defend their ancestral land and that in no way they should compromise. Nagas in Chandel have respect for other people’s aspirations and we expect the same to our aspirations and right over our land.
The Nagas in Chandel support the demand of alternative arrangement for Nagas of Manipur from the government of India outside the government of Manipur and pending Indo-Naga settlement should be expedited to bring solution at the earliest, the CNPO added.

(Layman’s attitude)
By Kambam Ibohal Singh
The impasse of the last Parliamentary monsoon session 8th August 2012 to 7th Sept. 2012 with loss of thirteen (13) man-days over the controversial Coal block allocation is unfortunate for a country like India, the largest democratic country having second largest population in the world. The monsoon session had nineteen sittings out of which most of the days (13days) were washout due to BJP storming into the well of the both houses demanding resignation P.M. Dr. Manmohon singh alleging loss of `1.86 lakh crores as revealed by C.A.G relating to Coal block allocation. The assessment loss for the thirteen days parliamentary blockade is yet to be worked out taking into account the entire expenses including sitting allowances of MPs for the monsoon session. We the common people urge CAG of India to work out minutely the financial loss and accountability for the parliament boycott. The impasse or cease work was the longest and the least productive session ever so far in the Indian parliament creating a record history. It was in fact a political gimmick to topple the U.P.A government without tangible effect since Dr. Manmohon singh Govt. is alive and active to run the Govt. under his skilful and excellent administration.

That was not the lone parliamentary session with disturbance from opposition over one or another issue causing cease work. The 2G spectrum allocation has caused great loss of `230 crores above CAG’s revelation loss of `1.76 lakh crores during the entire session 6th Nov. 2010 to 13th Dec. 2010 due to standoff between the Government and opposition.

Parliamentarians:-

To the layman parliament is a shrine and highest institution, the seat of great dignitaries representing more than one and half billion people to look after the welfare, development and progress of the common people. They enjoy free furnished Govt. bunglow in national Capital for nominal rent, free water, near free electricity; Govt. paid most medical expenses etc. But these parliamentarians are ever turning the common people’s problems into a controversial issue making the sacred place a bullying , slogan shouting, agitation, scuffles etc. to avert the real national issues come up for serious/earnest discussion.

Vote bank policy:- There is serious nexus amongst the political parties, politicians and public leaders to boost political strategy for extention and spreading slum areas to settle large population of poor people as vote bank for the days of election to come. The reservation/ quota system for ST/Sc, OBC, Dalits, minorities etc. is part of vote bank system. The introduction of below poverty line (BPL) is also to highlight and streamline the will of the politicians towards their end of self interest. Public distribution system(PDS) works as a means /source of feeding such large population in their respective slum areas. A large section of people are taking shelter on foot path and travelling on roofs of bus and train. These unlucky people are really nurtured by the public leaders to exploit their votes. Earnest family planning to control the raising birth rate is more beneficial instead.

Development Fund:- The local Area development fund allotted to the MPs (5crs) and MLAs ( 1.5crs) per annum are unconstitutional and meaningless in the eyes of the common people. No welfare Scheme and development programme for their respective areas are visualized in public limelight. It has become a mere futile pocket money or family development fund of MPs and MLAs having no mechanism to monitor the utilization of the fund. Review of the fund is badly needed as demanded. There is confusion and doubt amongst the people as to how and why the panchayat bodies are unable to work independently with study progress amidst shortage of fund as 25% of it is utilized by the local MLAs. This is sinister design of the party in power in sheer violation of Panchayat rules.

Land of Scam/Scandal:-

India is a land of ever increasing seams and scandals. These, which question the honesty and integrity of our Union ministers, Chief minister, the brave Generals, the great organizers etc. are unforgettable Bofors gun deal, fitly Common Wealth Games, Sukhna land deal, Adrash housing Society ( a fraud in the name of KARGIL War widows) infamous 2G Spectrum allocation, recent Coal block allocation scam and many other undisclosed / unrevealed grafts at different Union and State Govt. levels. Taking undue advantage of P.M. Dr. Manmohon Singh’s simplicity and silence his cabinet ministers are filling their pocket.( USA Media report on Corruption in India) This is a great humiliation and disgraceful for the whole nation?

Difficult ridiculous tasks: – The tasks of parliamentarians limited to disturbance / blockade of work, showcasing bags of currency notes dragging inside the House, shouting, agitating and storming into the well of the House to showdown their differences, are spurned by the common people. Apathy of small family norms resulting in population explosive leading to slogans for endless green revolution to feed the growing population with no land for accommodation and cultivation is harmful.

The dark cloud:- Still the dark cloud is looming over the next winter parliamentary session 2012 to prove least productive over FDI in details, Spiral price hike of essential commodities, Diesel price hike, woman Empowerment bill like a stone thrown into the deep sea whapped with quota/ reservation note, Lokpal bill, still in a bad shape, corrupt deals and dishonest practices generated by leaders of different parties etc. which are not reverence for the common people.
