Discovering the smuggling of banned wild life products in Khudengthabi, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) launched operation in the area and apprehended one smuggler on 09 Jan 2013. The apprehendee was identified as W S Molun Anal, 46 yrs, s/o W S Kodil Anal, r/o Khambathel, PO&PS – Sugnu, Dist- Chandel. Tokay Gecko worth rupees thirty five thousand was recovered from the apprehendee who along with recovered items handed over to wild life department.
In another incident, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) launched operation near Haolenphai on 09 Jan 2013 and recovered 80 kg of Pseudoephedrine HCL Tablets and same were handed over to Narcotic Control Bureau.
