IMPHAL, January 13: Two persons including a security personnel were killed and five injured in road accidents yesterday at two different places
According to the police, a Subedar was killed and two others left injured when a 2.5 ton truck of 26 Sector 1619 APO met with an accident yesterday at Khemdokhun near Zoupi under Molcham police station in Chandel district.
The deceased has been identified as Prakesh Narayan (49), son of Ram Prakesh Madev, a resident of Sahabad village, PO Bridgmanaganj, Gorakhpur district, Utter Pradesh.
He succumbed to his injuries at Shija hospital. The body has been deposited at JINMS and the post mortem of his body will be conducted tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a 4 year old girl was killed and three others, including the mother of the girl were left injured in a road accident between a Tata Magic and a bus yesterday at around 4:30 pm at a place between Thounaojam and Alangkhangpokpi under Waikhong police station in Thoubal district.
The deceased has been identified as Elangbam Jessica Chanu (4), daughter of E Somorendro, a resident of Elangkhongpokpi Mayai Leikai.
The dead body was handed over to her family today after a post mortem was conducted at JNIMS.
