IMPHAL, July 8: The Modern College, Porompat today celebrated its golden jubilee at the college hall today.The college will be organizing a month long of inter-college songs, debating, modern song and other competitions.Speaking to media persons, Y Irabot, MLA Wangkhei said the month long celebration will be organised by the Modern college with various extra-curricular activities as part of the golden jubilee.
He further appealed to the teachers of the college to organize awareness camps on HIV/AIDS which is a burning issue in the state today. The function was also attended by K Biren, Principal Modern College.
