Imphal, Aug 4 : The 16th integrity day organized by AMUCO was held at MDU Hall today.
Speaking on the occasion UCM, president, Y. Nabachandra said, the integrity of Manipur was preserved by our forefathers however it is challenging frequently today.
18 martyrs were killed in the June 18 of 2011 for only three words however the same was lifted on July 27.
Dr. Dhanbir Laishram said, it is unfortunate as G.O.I does not know the formula of politics. If there is equal power between centre and state, India cannot be disintegrated.
Former president of AMUCO, KT Rahman said, people of Manipur depend on agriculture but we have scarcity of food as govt. schools, colleges have been constructed in the area. The govt. fails to provide agricultural equipments to the farms.
He was of the view that all NGOs should be united for the integrity of Manipur.
