DIMAPUR, Aug 7 NNN: As reported earlier by this news agency, Manipur and Nagaland have started feeling the pinch of 300 hours bandh of Karbi Anglong district of Assam neighbouring Nagaland.
The Karbi People’s Liberation Tiger (KPLT) sponsored Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao 300 hours bandh which began 5 am of August 5, will conclude on August 17 in support of the statehood demand of Karbi Anglong district.
Prices of commodities such as onions and potatoes have sky-rocketed today.
In some places in Dimapur, a kilogram of onions is sold now at Rs 60, while a kilogram of potato is now cost Rs 30. Few days ago it was sold at Rs 15.
