Imphal, Sept 5 : The CM of Manipur O. Ibobi said, it is very unfortunate as govt. schools can’t produce toppers and second position holders in the HSLC and XII classes examination.
He was speaking as chief guest at the teacher’s day celebration held at multipurpose hall, DM College today.
The day was also observed at schools and colleges.
The CM said, he is very happy to take part in the celebration. The celebration began since 1962. The most important thing now-a-days is human resource. The govt. is also giving first priority to this today’s students are pillars of future. To mould the students, teachers and guardian have responsibility.
It is unfortunate as government schools cannot be honoured for producing good students in this solemn function. To improve the human resource India govt. is taking up SSA, RMSA, he said and added that more than 20 full fledged schools can’t produce not a single student passed in the examination.
He sought suggestions to improve education section. The edn. Minister M. Okendro presided over the function. The dignitaries also gave away prizes to position holders in HSLC and XII classes examination.
