NEW DELHI, Sept 10 NNN : The Kuki Students’ Organisation, Delhi celebrated its 26th Fresher’s Meet cum Social Funtion at Jesus and Mary College Auditorium, New Delhi. The function was graced by Oscar Fernandes, Union Minister as the chief guest. Harsh Vardhan Shyam of the Indian Youth Congress in-charge of Delhi was the guest of honour and the occasion was hosted by its functional president Mangneo Lhungdim, former president of KSO, Delhi and current deputy director of Indo-Global Social Service Society, New Delhi.
The programme was held on September 7.
The function was blessed by Pastor Thongngam Haokip of Kuki Worship Service Gurgaon and it opened with the rendering of the song “Damsot hen KSO (Long Live KSO)” by a popular singer, Mrs Lamkholhing Haokip and Miss Kimrose Vaiphei.
The president of KSO Delhi Thangminlen Kipgen addressed the function and highlighted the examples set by the honourable guests of the function as those worth emulating. He urged the freshers and other students to tread on the examples of humility in greatness, significance of student involvement in social services and the necessity of continual learning as those exemplified by the honourable guests.
