IMPHAL, Dec 2: The all political party delegation consisting of 23 members and led by Okram Ibobi Singh was to call on the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at 7 pm today. However, the meeting was differed as a sudden security protocol arising out of the Delhi assembly election to be held on Wednesday had taken priority.
The delegates are presently stationed at Manipur Bhawan and further a new appointment is sought from the concerned. The team also intimated UPA Chairperson; Sonia Gandhi, Union Home Minister; Sushil Kumar Sindhe, External Affairs Minister; Salman Khurshid to be given appointments.
Sources said,that the appointment may be scheduled in the next few days. It may be mentioned that among the different memoranda’s to be submitted to the union top brass, one issue is said to be the border fencing which is presently taken up in a war footing by the BRTF.
