IMPHAL, Dec 7: A one-day farmers training program on Rabi crops and distribution of Rabi seeds was today organised at Luker Community Hall at 11:30 am.

The said program was jointly organised by All Manipur Young Farmer Union and Luker Youth Development Club, conveyed it in a press release from United Committee Manipur.

UCM president Y Nabachandra, AMYFU chairman Chandramani Khumancha, Pradhan of the Maklang Gram Panchayat Oinam Tondon Devi and circle AO W Momon attended the program as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

As resource person of the training program, L Sanatomba Singh delivered a speech on topic of Agronomy Practices for Rabi Crops while Kh Nimaichand lectured on Plan Protection Measures on Rabi Crops, said the release and further continued that altogether 50 farmers attended the said training program and attending farmers were also distributed pea and mustard seed urea, sprayer pump and also pesticides.

During the function, UCM president Y Nabachandra said that the program was organised with the motto of Grow together, Live together. The UCM president further mentioned that the program is organising with an aim of having a welfare society in Manipur.
