IMPHAL, Feb 1: The Manipur Chemists & Druggists Association, MCDA has appealed to the chemist fraternity and concerned authorities to provide some help for the eight pharmacy shops near the Yairipok Community Health Centre which were razed to the ground by a devastating fire on January 26, 2014.
A statement of the MCDA said that around 7.50pm of January 26, eight pharmacy retail at Yairipok Bazar were razed to the ground by the fire, destroying properties including several life-saving drugs and other medical equipment to the tune of about Rs 60 lakh.
It said the three left pharmachies are finding it hard to cope with the medicine demands of the Yairipok Community Health Centre.
