IMPHAL, April 5: After the reported possible rift within the Manipur unit of the Aam Aadmi Party, the party released its Election Manifesto on Saturday at the Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

During the function, the convenor of the State Campaign Committee of Aam Aadmi Party, Hareshwar Goswami has clarified that the Election Manifesto which was released on April 4 last led by Th Manihar was ‘fake’ and; added that the State Executive Body of the party is not operational in the state.

He further said that State Election Committee is preparing the election manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha election and this Election Committee will take decision on any issues.

Further clarifying on the issue, he communicated to the gathering and media persons that a formal complaint will be submitted to central leaders against Th Manihar and S Jugendro, both AAP co-ordinators of the state for releasing the fake manifesto a day ahead of the election manifesto program.

The election manifesto contained changes in administration mainly anti- corruption hotline and anti-corruption cell will be opened so that every people of Manipur can act as an anti-corruption inspection, the government schools of the state will be developed.

Further according to the convenor, it also contained economy development, transport and communication; and improvement of health care of the government hospitals as per with national and international standard.

The manifesto also mentioned of protecting the rights of the indigenous people and culture of the people including their rights over land, natural resources etc. The manifesto also includes the removal of Armed Forces Special Power Acts 1958 from Manipur and protection of the territorial boundaries of Manipur, he said.
