IMPHAL, Apr 23: The State Archaeology Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur and Peoples’ Museum, Kakching has said in a press release that the 123rd Death Anniversary of Wangkhei Meiraba who died defending his motherland at the Anglo-war in the year 1891 was held at Kakching today.
A floral tribute was held at the martyrs’ memorial complex at Machin Manao Hill at Kakching.
Another event was also held at Library and Information Centre Kakching located at Kakching Phoushupat Leikai.
RK Ranendrajit Singh and Dr Lokendra Arambam attended the function as chief guest and president during the event.
The Liberty Theatre Kakching held a play ‘Wangkhei Meiraba’ by the Liberty Kakching, said the organisers.
