IMPHAL, April 30: The DM College of Science Students` Union has said in a press release that absence of regular principals in government colleges has led to the drawback of higher studies in the State.
In a statement, the Union said that lack of interest shown by teachers is due to absence of regular principal. Because of lack of institutes for advanced studies, rich students avail studies outside of Manipur while many are left to waste. Although many notices regarding the problem were put up, the results were always the same.
The Union appeals to the concerned authorities to appoint regular principals for the colleges within forty days and threaten to take up actions if the concerned authorities failed to do so.
