IMPHAL, May 2: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshwar
Singh has greeted the people on the occasion of May Day.
The Speaker had said in a statement that on May 1, 1886, a protest was held by workers in the USA demanding 8 hours of work a day which resulted in casualties. Since then on May 1 has been observed as May Day.
