IMPHAL, Apr 28: Along with producing the Chairman of United National Liberation Front of Manipur (UNLF) RK Meghen alias Sanayaima and several other leaders of the outfit before the Special Court of National Investigative Agency (NIA) in Guwahati today, deposition of three prosecution witnesses of the case was taken.
Deposition of the prosecution witnesses of the case had started from yesterday following an order passed by the court. The three prosecution witnesses including a woman whose statements were recorded today in connection with the case are identified as RK Napoleon Singh; L Ibeyaima Devi and Director of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Guwahati.
Sources said the Director of FSL Guwahati during his deposition before the court verified the signatures of those forensic experts who seized several materials from the outfit`™s Chairman and his close aides.
It may be mentioned that two of the prosecution witnesses of the case, an Under Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and an IAS Officer serving under the Government of Manipur failed to appear the court yesterday despite being asked to do so.
