IMPHAL, Aug 21: Lamenting that many Meitei residents of Moreh are reeling under intense hardship with some finding hard to accommodate themselves following the unfortunate incident that took place in the border town on August 18, the Meeitei Council Moreh (MCM) and ACODOM have sought intervention of the government into the grievances faced by the residents at the earliest on humanitarian ground.
In a joint statement, the MCM and ACODOM regretted that the incident has come as a shocker to the Meitei residents of Moreh which had already been affected by flood and landslides due to incessant shower of rain in the past few couples of days.
It appealed to the people and civil society organizations to contact members of the organizations namely A Thoiba Meitei, president of MCM (mobile no 8974845892), I Ibobi Singh, president of ACODOM (mobile no 03874201929) and L Inaocha Singh, memner of MCM (mobile no 8974355661) to provide assistance to the aggrieved residents.
