Van Mahotsav celebration in India from July 1 to 7 was started as a crusade with the lofty purpose of saving the mother earth.This movement was initiated in the year 1950 by India’s Union Minister for Agriculture, late Shri K. M. Munshi, noted educationist and nature lover, during his tenure as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh.
