Ukhrul, Jul 23: Justice N Kotiswar Singh, Judge, High Court of Manipur who is also the Executive Chairman of Manipur State Legal Services Authority(MASLSA ) today inaugurated the Legal Aid Clinic at Mini Secretariat Complex at Hamleikhong, Ukhrul, reports Mungchan Zimik. A one day legal awareness programme was also organised. Justice Kotiswar while acknowledging the warm reception accorded by the people of Ukhrul deliberated the objective of setting up a legal aid clinic in every district to provide legal services to the people. 22 legal aid clinics have been already set up in the State to provide assistance in connection with their legal rights and related Govt schemes. Families belonging to ST, SC and labourers whose annual income is less than 1 lakh can avail the free legal service.
