It allowed us to concentrate in a particular field and let us trade on others where we lacked. From hunters and farmers, to traders and teachers, it let us pursue and explore without hindrance. In the old days, it used to be gold or silver, or even copper coins. For the ease of use, modern Govt started using paper currencies, where the government stands as the guarantor of the value it carries to its users.
