Manipur polls largely peaceful
Calcutta Telegraph Imphal, March 8: The turnout in the second phase of the Manipur elections today recorded a high of 86 per cent, just like the first phase on Saturday. Polling was unexpectedly peaceful in 22 constituencies of 10 districts, most of them dominated by Nagas.
