Scientists are about to create artificial human life

Keeping dogma aside and reason being part of the zeitgeist, would you believe people in Australia live upside down? Yes they do. They get accustomed to the fact, which then becomes normal. Einstein understood it. It’s the structure of space and time that is made like this. This is science, but the science I seek is to highlight how the living things including humans were created. Darwin’s evolutionary theory about the development of life on Earth is not foolproof, but it’s definitely better than American creationist alternative that God created human beings 6,000 years ago, rather than the universally accepted secular 4.5 billion years.

Joining national debate on peacock & sex

As a concern citizen of this great country I would also like to join the national debate on this very crucial issue, “whether peacock and peahen do have sex for reproduction or whether their procreation is done when the peahen consumes the tears of the peacock”. For the last two /three days many TV channels and newspapers carry this story. Even the social media has become wild to find out the truth?

On the fiasco of unfair practices used in exams

Note touba or khongbaan chenba are not unfamiliar terms to any (lairik paaningdaba) Manipuri student who has studied in any of the schools or colleges in Manipur. A major threat to quality education from a larger perspective, the practice of using unfair means during exam keeps on looming around for all these decades. In today’s technologically empowered world it is quite a matter of shame that students still indulge in such a practice. There is no short cut to success, passing exams through unfair means is not something to be proud of-but only if they understand it!

Holy month, unholy blasts

Ramadan is a holy month for Islam which we all must respect. More so when it’s observed with the rigorous austerity, renouncing the material indulgences, dedicating this to the Almighty who is “common” to all and one. True, always through the “austerity” one’s mind, inner heart and soul can be cleansed that finally raises one’s spiritual level. Of course, throughout the holy month, those who fast should not at all be hurtful to anyone, even the non-human creatures whether through the speech or action. Also, the “mind” must not harbour anything that precipitates the negativity.

Education is one of the oldest subjects being imparted in Assam. It is one of the common subjects for the student studying in arts stream after secondary level. The subject can be taken as a major subject in graduation and post graduation can be done in education. We should not get confused regarding BA or MA in Education and B Ed or M Ed. These are different courses which are part of the same department in most of the university.

Somebody said you have to love what you do, but that’s not necessarily true. What is true is that you have to love the opportunity. The opportunity to build life, future, health, success and fortune. Knocking on someone’s door or making that extra call may not be something you love to do, but you love the opportunity of what might be behind that door or call.
