Imphal, Jun 11: A jeet kune do team, consisting of 17 players and 2 officials, will be leaving Imphal tomorrow for the World Games to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from June 15 to 18, said a statement from the Jeet Kune-Do Association of Manipur.
The team—which comprises 15 players in the sub-junior category, one player each in the junior and senior category, a national team coach and a technical official—will leaving for Kathmandu on June 13, the statement added.

THOUBAL, Jun 12: Lamding Educated Welfare Association (LEWA) detained 11 drug users along with drugs as a part of its “Drive Against Drug Users” today.
As a part of their drive, the association had caught 27 drug users on June 9.
A statement issued by LEWA, Lamding Khumathem Leikai stated that out of eleven people detained, five were handed to Thoubal police while six of them were handed over to their parents/guardians, reports our correspondent.

THOUBAL, Jun 12: Youth Development Committee Khoirom organised a meeting at Khoirom Kangjeibung community hall yesterday where representatives from Khoirom village and villages under PHC, Khoirom adopted two resolutions, conveyed a press release issued by general secretary of Youth Development Committee, Khoirom.
The meeting which was presided by Ningel Gram Panchayat Pradhan Salam Kumar Meitei resolved to bring to the notice of the authority that the Primary Health Centre, Khoirom has been paralysed since the transfer of four doctors from the health centre on May 17.
The meeting also decided to reform the management committee of the hospital.
