IMPHAL, Jul 31 : Even as the death toll in the liquior tragedy at Oinam Sawombung has reached five, with one more victim succumbing last night after he left the hospital, 25 patients are still undergoing treat at two private hospitals in Imphal.
The victim who passed away late last night has been identified as Oinam Brojen of Oinam Sawombung.
At Raj Medicity, ten patients are still in the ICU while another eight are undergoing treatment at the general ward.
Seven more patients are undergoing treatment at SHija hospital with two of them in the ICU, one in the Neuro ICU and another in the ICU, Dialysis room.
According to reports from RIMS, all the patients admitted there have been discharged yesterday.

IMPHAL, Jul 31 : The Joint Administrative Council of All Manipur Trade Unions’ Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees’ Organisation (AMGEO) has appealed to the State Government to give due attention to its demand for adoption of 7th Central Pay Commission and stopping all form of service extensions, engagement, re-engagement of retired employees.
In a press release, the JAC also appealed to the Government to implement the Supreme Court order regarding minimum pay for Home Guard employees and establish Manipur State Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of Group C employees.

IMPHAL, Jul 31: 33 KV line from Kakching to Moreh via Tengnoupal and 11 KV line Chandel feeder from 132/33 KV Kakching sub-station will be shutdown on August 2 from 10 am to 5 pm and from 7.30 am to 5 pm of August 3 due to shifting of double pole at Nungourok village near Pallel and stringing of 132 KV line at Khudengthabi village, according to a statement issued by MSPCL.
It will affect power supply in Tengnoupal, Moreh and Pallel areas.
Manager TD-II of MSPCL requested the general public to bear the inconvenience during the shutdown.

IMPHAL, Jul 31: Kh Olempic Singh — father of Kh Power (20) who was assaulted by security escorts of an Elected person travelling in a white coloured Bolero Jeep around 11.30 AM at Sagolband Meino Leirak on July 29 — has urged the concerned VIP to contact him and sort out the matter before he gives out the registration numbers of the vehicles, which are already in his possession, to the press. If not, he would take legal recourse within two days. In a statement, Kh Olempic said that the Beat vehicle of the reported assault victim was also allegedly damaged. The escorts wore camouflage shirts which is illegal.
Kh Power (20) was reportedly assaulted by security escorts of a VIP travelling in a white coloured Bolero Jeep around 11.30 AM at Sagolband Meino Leirak on July 29. He was returning home after getting done his admission for a LLB course.
