National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO) today celebrated its 17th foundation day at Keishampat Yumjao Lairembi Community hall, Keishampat junction.
The president of NIPCO, Oinam Premjit, said that this council is formed under the theme “peace, integrity and unity” on September 13 in the year 2000. He said that its main aim is to work under the theme and maintain peace and stability in the state.
He further said that all organisations should have good relations, without any biased treatment by bigger organisations to smaller organisations
Associate professor of M.B. College, Homen Thangjam attended the function as chief guest and president of Indigenous Minority Organisation Manipur (IMOM), Medun Maring attended as guest of honour. Many other dignitaries from other organisations also came and witnessed the celebration.
Rhythms of Unity (Apunba Esheigee Taantha), an entertainment programme was presented during the later parts of the day.
