A mass drive of Jiribam police continued at the various localities of Jiribam for the detection of illegal migration at Jiribam.

The drive was conducted under the supervision of SP of Jiribam district, Moirangthem Mubi Singh.

Talking with the media persons, the additional SP of Jiribam, Ajit Kumar Sharma and SDPO, Jiribam Rajkumar Charles said that the mass drive was started from the September 13.

Jiribam police conducted mass drive rigidly for detection of illegal migrants and fake electoral card, in which the team minutely checked documents and identity proof issued by competent authority, reported Charles.

He further added that till today some people were detected with doubtful identity proof and their related document were sent to competent authority for further verification. He continued that the mass drive was conducted irrespective of caste, creed and religion for the safety of genuine public of Jiribam.
