All Manipur Command Area Development Employees’ Association (AMCADEA) has strongly objected the extension of service of additional chief engineer (in-charge), Command Area Development (CADA), K. Lokeshwor, who is due to retire on December 31.

A release by AMCADEA has stated that the state government is processing to extend Lokeshwor’s service by proposing a cabinet memo to be placed before the cabinet, which is against the state policy of not giving service extension after superannuation. State government is violating the fundamental right of equality and equal opportunities to the junior officers and staff, it added.

Against the extension of service, AMCADEA had submitted a memorandum on December 23 to the principal secretary of CAD with copies to the chief minister, minister of CAD and chief secretary, said the release.
