AR organises Aadhaar registration camp

Aadhaar registration camp was organised by 19 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Chandel District Administration on December 23 and December 24 at Old Samtal village for the villagers of Old Samtal, Sejang and S Bongjoi villages under Khenjoy sub-division of Chandel district, said a release by PRO IGAR (South).

It said, a total 342 persons were enrolled for Aadhaar registration during the camp. The villagers appreciated the efforts and lauded the commitment of 19 AR.

The Aadhaar team further reached out to the villages in Indo-Myanmar border, which are New Lajang, New Samtal, Yangnomphai and Aivomjang on December 24, said the release.
