IMPHAL, Jan 7: The Kabui Mothers’ Association (KA-MA) has appealed to all village Peis, women’s’ societies and the people of every villages, particularly situated in the valley, not to attend the convention organised by Rongmei Naga People Organisation (RNPO) at Tamenglong HQs on January 8 and 9, with a plan to walk away from Zeliangrong family.
A press release issued by the vice president of the association today stated that the origin of RNPO can be traced back to Nagaland and it activities began in Nagaland with a demand for separate Rongmei tribe in the State without relying on historical facts and background of the people, which in turn has greatly damaged the Zeliangrong family.
Alleging that the convention will create only more division in the Zeliangrong family, the association appealed to the people not to be a part of the convention in the interest of the common future of the Zeliangrong people.
