IMPHAL, Jan 9: Imphal West district police launched cordon and search operation at Singjamei Liwa Lambi and Kakwa Maibam Leikai and the surrounding area, as a part of the security measures taken up for the coming Republic Day celebration.
According to a reliable source, all male in the age group of 15 to 45 years were called out from their residences and the police team carried out verification.
Four bail out individuals belonging to different underground outfits were detained by the police and handed over to Singjamei police station for further verification.
