IMPHAL, Jan 4: The proscribed UNLF has claim-ed responsibility for elimi- nating one Laiphrakpam Sana Ningthem s/o L Inaobi of Lamdeng Makha Leikai at Lamdeng Khunou, Imphal West district under Lamsang police station at around 11 am today.
According to a press release issued by the outfit’s department of publicity director M Sak-hen, Sana Ningthem was shot dead for raping a married woman inside the house of a chowkidar of Popular English School at around 8 pm of April 26, 2015.

Imphal, Jan 4: A team of District Police Commando arrested one self-styled 2nd Lieutenant of PREPAK, Kshetrimayum Biken aka Pamel aka Nongdol, 47, s/o (Late) Ksh Haimo of Lamsang Bazar in a frisk and search operation yesterday morning at Heibongpokpi.

Imphal, Jan 4: A team of District Police Commando arrested one self-styled 2nd Lieutenant of PREPAK, Kshetrimayum Biken aka Pamel aka Nongdol, 47, s/o (Late) Ksh Haimo of Lamsang Bazar in a frisk and search operation yesterday morning at Heibongpokpi.
According to reports from the police, Ksh Biken came to Imphal to recruit new cadres for PREPAK. A case has been registered at Lamsang Police Station.
