Tonnage restricted to 24/25 tons

Imphal, Jan 4: The Directorate of Transport has issued an order specifying that the maximum tonnage permissible for trucks/tankers/LPG bullets is 25 tons inclusive of the weight of the vehicle, having 10 wheels, with two in the front axle, four in the middle and another four in the rear axle in respect of Imphal-Dimapur sector while it is 24 tons in respect of Imphal-Jiribam sector.

JIRIBAM, Jan 4 : PSG Lungreijang saw off Chiru SC 2-1 today to enter into the last 4 round of the 27th KC Mallick Memorial Invitation Football Tournament 2017-18 at Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground.
M Bikey Singh (52′, 73′) scored the two goals for the winning side while L Dailien scored the single for Chiru SC in the 77th minute.
HYC Hmarkhulein will take on JYC Jarolpokpi tomorrow in the last quarter final match.

Look East Policy to Act East Policy, a policy which is being looked upon many a times but not acted upon. Cash to cashless or Digital India affecting lives of many living in the rural areas where electricity supply don’t reach. Imphal rapidly progressing from a ‘to be’ Smart City to a Clumsy City, one of the worst unplanned city in India. Four lane highway, many a times we have heard, however, we’ve begun to doubt whether it will materialise during our lifetime. Crores and crores of rupees for development of National Highways of Manipur, but so far, the two highways i.e. Imphal- Dimapur & Imphal-Silchar are still in a deplorable and pitiable condition.

Despite stolen dreams

Being from the hill originally, it’s easy for me to fall in love with books written by authors from the hills. Anita Krishan is one among such authors to me, for she was born and brought up in Shimla and spent twenty-two years of her younger life in the pristine town in the foothill of Himalaya.
