IMPHAL, Dec 23: The Archbishop of Imphal Archdiocese, Most Reverend Dominic Lumon has extended his Christmas and New Year 2015 wishes praying that the festivals resound the joy and peace of Christ so that 2015 be free from any type of violence and injustice.
In a statement the Archibishop said that `On this occasion of the Birth of Christ, may every person be free from any clutches that holds back oneself and others from experiencing the love and peace of the Prince of Peace`.
Let every individual shun violence and hatred and be reconciled in the love and peace that Christmas brings to one and all, it said.
The President and the Executive of AMCO and TCLF wished different communities of Manipur a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2015.
As we celebrate Christmas, may the Peace of Christ be present in every individual in the State of Manipur, said a statement of the AMCO adding May 2015 be filled with the blessings of the New Born babe, Christ, the Prince of Peace of so that the coming year be free from violence and blessed with the Peace of Christ.
It requested any organisations to refrain from calling any kind of bandh or strike before the and during the Christmas celebration and appealed all the communities to keep away from any form of violence and experience the love, peace and joy of Christmas.
